INIFD Udaipur awards Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to new entrants (all centers) in regular UG & PG Programs at the time of admission, for first year only, to attract meritorious students with limited means to benefit from world class education in Design, Fashion, Business and Media offered at the Academy.
The Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (new entrants) provides partial waiver of tuition fee to a maximum of 10% of new entrants.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship waives payment of Tuition Fee only for the current Academic Year (First Year only) in the following categories:
Merit Criterion:
For UG applicants – Academic Performance in 10th & 12th examination as well as INIFDentrance exam/personal interview/studio test.
For PG applicants – Academic Performance in 12th & Graduation as well as INIFD entrance exam/personal interview/Studio Test.

Prescribed Scholarship Application Forms with detailed eligibility criteria are available in all INIFD Centers, uploaded on the our website and also available along with the Application Kit.
All eligible students fulfilling the above criteria and desirous of availing Merit-cum-Means (new entrants) Scholarships should submit their scholarship application along with their ‘Application Form for Admissions 2019’ (Annexure-III) supported by attested copies of all requisite documents.
Merit-cum-Means scholarship will be continued for subsequent years, on the condition that the student fulfills eligibility conditions/criteria of annual gross parental/family income and academic performance (as notified from time to time) at the institution. All eligible students desirous of availing Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (new entrants) are required to submit fresh applications every year along with attested copies of requisite documents.
Note:
A student will be eligible for award of only one type / scheme of Scholarship in a given Academic Year.
All Scholarship decisions will be at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee only and will be final & binding.
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EXISTING STUDENTS
MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (COURSE TOPPERS)
Merit Scholarship (Course Toppers) will be awarded annually to students who have topped (1st rank) their respective cohorts, subject to class size of minimum 30 students.
Merit Scholarship (Course Toppers) is subject to:
- Course Topper achieving the minimum prescribed standards of achievement (Higher Second Class in UG/First Class in PG/Commendation in Masters Program – i.e., min. 60%).
- Awardee maintaining the minimum prescribed aggregate attendance.
- No disciplinary proceedings against the awardee.
Merit Scholarship for the Course topper is subject to achieving minimum prescribed standard of achievement (Higher Second Class in UG/ First Class in PG/ Commendation in MA).
In case of class strength is below 30 (but not lesser than 20), the Merit Scholarship will be awarded to the Topper (1st Rank) subject to achieving [UG – minimum 70% marks, i.e., First Class and PG – Distinction].

- A student will be eligible for award of only one type / scheme of Scholarship in a given Academic Year.
- All Scholarship decisions will be at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee only and will be final & binding.
INDUSTRY SCHOLARSHIP
There are a few scholarships, sponsored by reputed companies, for deserving students enrolled in regular UG/PG/MA Programs, who lack adequate financial means but have demonstrated a strong academic performance.
Only students within prescribed annual gross parental/family income of Rs. 6,00,000 from all sources are considered for grant of Industry Scholarships.
Full & Half Scholarships are declared based on the corpus available each year. Industry Scholarship will be awarded based on academic performance of the applicants in each program/cohort as under:
- Full scholarships to be granted to students who secure between First to Fifth rank (20% of cohort/batch) in their cohort.
- Part scholarships to be granted to students who are ranked below 5th position (below 21% of the cohort) up to a rank equivalent to 50% of the cohort.
Eligible students fulfilling the eligibility conditions/criteria of annual gross parental/family income and academic performance (as notified from time to time), after completion of their first year (Level 1 in UG and Year 1 in PG/MA), desirous of availing Industry Scholarship (Merit-cum-Means), are required to submit applications along with all supporting documents by 1st week of August, as notified.
The Merit-cum-Means (Industry Scholarship) will be awarded for one year only (Year-2 onwards), and a fresh application must be made for every subsequent academic year.
